Competes in the Wuxi Classic invitation event as an amateur and reaches the semi-finals. 2011: Turns pro after coming through Q School. 2015: Reaches the final of the Ruhr Open European Tour event, beating Shaun Murphy along the way, but is denied the title by Rory McLeod. 2016: Climbs to 48th in the world. 2017: Reaches the quarter-finals of a ranking event for the first time at the Northern Ireland Open, including a win over home favourite Mark Allen. 2018: Quarter-finalist at the European Masters. 2019: Qualifies for the final stages of the World Championship for the first time. Pushes Stephen Maguire all the way at the Crucible – leads 8-5 and 9-7 but eventually loses 10-9. Reaches the quarter-finals of both the Gibraltar Open and the English Open. |
